Long-term funding via their Programme Partnership Agreement enables us to develop innovative programmes that respond to needs overseas, carry out research, and secure additional funding from other partners.

Funding from
Comic Relief has enabled us to run a five-year programme across three West African countries (Burkina Faso, Mali and Togo).
Working in the major towns and cities, our programme has helped some of the poorest young people start up businesses.
Irish Aid (the Government of Ireland’s programme of assistance to developing countries) has enabled us to begin long-term work in Bolivia, Brazil & Burkina Faso. These projects focus on sexual and reproductive health, and supporting people with disabilities to take their rightful place in society .

Funding from the
Big Lottery Fund supports our sexual and reproductive health programme in the State of Amazonas, Brazil. Brazil´s national HIV/AIDS programme is one of few to be providing free antiretroviral drugs to people living with HIV/AIDS.
European Union funding supports our work in Brazil, which aims to improve the management of natural resources in the arid north east of the country.
