Volunteer overseas with International Service ICS

Looking for a life-changing three months overseas? Want to join with other young people from around the world and volunteer as an agent of positive change?  An International Citizen Service (ICS) placement volunteering abroad is for you.

International Service ICS gives 18-25 year olds from across the UK the opportunity to make a difference to the world’s most marginalised communities, whilst gaining transferable skills and invaluable experience.

ICS is funded by the Department for International Development (DFID) and is operated by a hand-picked group of respected development organisations that work to agreed quality principles and standards. International Service is one of the agencies delivering ICS overseas.

You don’t need cash or heaps of qualifications; just the ambition to make a positive impact on the world in which you live.

International Service ICS offer volunteer overseas placements in Latin America, the Middle East and West Africa, and work in areas such as female empowerment, disability rights and child poverty.

You could be a part of this global mission for equality and justice; challenge yourself to change your world.

All UK-based 18 to 25-year-olds are welcome to apply, regardless of background, qualifications, disability and work history. So if you’re up for a challenge and willing to work hard, find out how to apply.

Challenge yourself to change your world: Apply now for overseas placements starting in July or September 2014, or January or April in 2015.

"I volunteered hoping that ICS would break down any preconceptions I had about Africa and development, and offer me the chance to contribute to sustainable development overseas at a grassroots level. On reflection, it did this and so much more".
